Introduction

The 3rd European Workshop on "Self-Organized Nanomagnets" was successfully held as planned from April 16th through 20th, 2012 at the Fray Luis de León Congress Centre in Guadarrama (Madrid, Spain). Around 100 participants, including registered contributors and invited speakers joined at the workshop's venue in a friendly and fruitful atmosphere. 31 of the attendees were PhD students.

A total of 87 communications were presented, including 14 invited talks, 31 contributed talks and 42 poster presentations.
